Terms of Use

ChellOS is a volunteer-run, non-profit project built for Discord communities that need moderation, automation, and support tools. Using the bot means accepting these terms as well as the privacy protocol.

1. Acceptance

By inviting or using ChellOS on a Discord server, you accept these terms of use, the privacy protocol, and the applicable Discord rules. If you do not accept all of these documents, you must not use the service.

2. Service Description

ChellOS notably provides:

• moderation and automoderation tools
• community features such as tickets, giveaways, suggestions, levels, and reminders
• server administration and configuration tools
• AI features operated locally through Chell AI
• optional integrations with third-party services for specific commands

3. Authorized Use

You agree to use ChellOS in compliance with Discord rules and applicable law. The following are notably prohibited:

• using the bot to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or disrupt other users
• using commands to bypass server rules or harm a community
• attempting to divert, break, overload, or abuse the service, its APIs, or its protections
• using ChellOS to distribute illegal content, tokens, identifiers, secrets, or passwords
• unauthorized reproduction or reuse of the project code, logo, or visual identity

4. Intervention, Sanctions, and Blacklist

Project maintainers may suspend, restrict, or block access to the service in cases of abuse, malicious use, breach of these terms, or threats to the security of the bot or protected communities.

• a server or user may be blacklisted in case of serious or repeated abuse
• sanctions may rely on technical logs, automod events, or received reports

5. Availability and Disclaimer of Warranty

ChellOS is provided without express or implied warranty. We do not guarantee continuous availability, the absence of errors, or the permanent maintenance of any specific feature. Interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical incidents, project changes, or external dependencies.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the ChellOS project cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages related to the use or unavailability of the service, including:

• loss of configuration, logs, history, or temporary content
• sanctions taken by server administrators using the bot
• consequences of incorrect bot configuration on a server
• behavior produced by experimental AI modules or integrated third-party services

7. Personal Data and Compliance

Data processing related to ChellOS is described on the Privacy and GDPR pages. Use of the service implies that certain data strictly necessary for commands, moderation, and administration may be processed in accordance with those documents.

8. Intellectual Property

The code, the ChellOS name, logo, visuals, and related branding elements remain protected. Unless expressly authorized, you may not reproduce, resell, republish, or present all or part of the project as your own.

9. Changes to the Terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in the project, infrastructure, regulation, or Discord rules. The version published on the website is authoritative and applies as soon as it goes live.
